Heidi lives in Prince George and joined the Council in February 2011 as a part-time Quality Leader, where she supports the congestive heart failure strategy for Clinical Care Management. She is also involved with integration, quality coaching, and mentoring at Northern Health with its Quality and Innovation Department.
Heidi has more than 12 years’ experience in health care, much of it working in vocational rehab for Mental Addiction Services at Northern Health. She was instrumental in organizing programs for patients to learn skills that would transfer into ongoing employment. Heidi served as a conduit between patients, the community, and the health care system. More recently, she has been working in the Practice Support Program facilitating the Mental Health Module and working towards primary health care integration with Northern Health.
Heidi participated in the first cohort of the Council’s Quality Academy and is excited about being part of positive change in the health care system.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a focus on health policy from the University of Northern BC.
