The Thompson Region Division of Family Practice (TRDFP) is seeking an Executive Director. Reporting to the Board with direction from the Board Chair, the Executive Director is responsible for strategic and operational leadership and management.
The Executive Director works collaboratively with strategic health care partners in the Thompson Region to pursue and achieve excellence and innovation in patient care.
The key areas of responsibility and oversight includes governance and leadership; operational planning and management, strategic partnerships; human resources leadership and management, financial planning and management; communications/media and stakeholder relations. Member engagement and risk management are to be integrated into all of the mentioned areas.
The ideal candidate will possess competencies that include effectively communicating and fostering collaboration, strategic thinking, mastering change, fostering innovation, and building relationships. A Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in business or related field, plus a minimum of ten years’ recent, related senior management/executive director experience is preferred. The candidate should have past success working with a Board of Directors in a not-for-profit environment.

We are a diverse community of family physicians, general practitioners, and nurse practitioners who provide primary care in Kamloops, Barriere, Scotch Creek, Chase, Logan Lake, and Sun Peaks. Our membership also includes retired physicians, medical residents, specialists, and midwives.
