Donna joined Health Quality BC in January 2022 and is currently a Project Coordinator on the Health System Improvement team working on Learning About Opioid Use Disorder (LOUD) Collaboratives.

Prior to joining HQBC, she provided admin, research and project support to paramedic and nurse teams on remote worksites located in Yukon and Northern BC, assisting the development of standard operating procedures and tools for pandemic protocols and more. She has experience working in Human Resources, Program Administration, and various customer service industries. Within her work, Donna aims to bring collaborative and innovative ideas to create a health care system that meets the needs of communities, patients, and health care providers.

Donna holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Health Sciences and a minor in Psychology. She is passionate about promoting equitable, accessible, and high quality care for health and well-being, particularly for minority populations. During her spare time, you can find Donna practicing the electric guitar, taking a dance class, exercising at the gym/sports field, or adventuring with her friends, family, and dogs.

Donna is a second-generation settler and acknowledges her privilege to work, live, and play on the ancestral, traditional and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Within her work and personal life, Donna is committed to continuing her cultural safety and humility journey and her understanding of decolonizing and reconciliation.
