Kimberly McKinley is a nurse with a passion for numbers. She began nursing in 2005 and has worked in the ICU, emergency, and perioperative settings. Because she can’t resist the lure of statistics, she is currently completing her PhD at UBC Okanagan with a focus on Organizational Decision Making and Communication.

In her current role as SCR Liaison and Data Support she contributes to the success of the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program across BC. She loves to help NSQIP SCRs clean and analyse their data – if you can believe it! Her current focus is on a examining the first 5 years of NSQIP data, all 175 000 cases.

Kimberly lives in Vancouver, BC and joined the Council in April 2012.
