Project Coordinator, Patient & Public Engagement
Shannon Sahota brings a variety of community engagement and health promotion experience to her role as Project Coordinator in Patient and Public Engagement with the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council. She has worked extensively in community development, program evaluation, and community-based public health initiatives. Shannon also brings with her a vast background in providing cancer and chronic disease prevention programming, and health promotion education for underserved and marginalized communities in BC. Her passion and interests include empowering patients and their families as partners in the healthcare delivery process, and in working towards building a more inclusive healthcare system.
Shannon holds a Master of Community Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
