Every year, we offer health care improvement scholarships in partnership with the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Open School chapters at post-secondary schools in BC. The scholarships support students to attend educational events related to health care quality and safety. This year, students were encouraged to participate virtually in conferences and/or training courses to build skills toward improving health care quality.

We’re now pleased to announce the 12 recipients of the 2020-2021 health care improvement scholarship! Recipients include students from various programs at the University of British Columbia (UBC), the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus (UBCO) and the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). Of the 12 recipients, 10 have chosen to attend a virtual conference while two have signed up for a learning opportunity. Congratulations to our 2020-2021 recipients!

The photo above is a group of previous scholarship recipients; at the next opportunity we get, we’ll share a photo of this year’s group!
