HTAi 2018 Annual Meeting: Strengthening the Evidence-to-Action Connection
With terms such as “fake news” and “alternative facts” now in common parlance, it is more important than ever that researchers, policymakers, health care practitioners, industry, patients, and the public reaffirm their commitment to action based on evidence and collaborative approaches that will strengthen the evidence-to-action connection.
Join the Health Technology Assessment international (HTAi) 2018 Annual Meeting as the global HTA community convenes in Vancouver to consider and debate:
- the nature of evidence in a “post-fact world” (does it need to be more robust? can it be made more convincing? how does real-world evidence fit in?);
- the actions required to improve health and health system outcomes (from the perspectives of policymakers, practitioners, and patients); and
- what can be done to strengthen the evidence to action connection (from improved methods for HTA, to better communications, to cultural changes).
The International Scientific Programme Committee is hard at work developing a programme that will challenge, inform and engage you in making HTA more relevant and efficient with greater impact.
The call for abstracts for this meeting is expected to open in the fall of 2017.
Registration will open January 2018.
