Quality Café – The Patient Voice as Co-Leader

Patient and health care partner collaboration results in improved patient safety, better health outcomes, reduced health care costs, and better care experiences for patients and care providers. But how do you ensure that patients are equal partners?

Join us to learn from people involved with the Patient Voices Network, who will share the patient and health care partner perspectives. Jason, a patient partner, and Patty, a health care partner, will talk about effective collaboration, and discuss some lessons they have learned working together on the Patient and Family Advisory Committee of the Tertiary Eating Disorders Program. We’ll also hear from Judy and Rick, who collaborate on Interior Health’s Clinical Ethics Committee.

This Quality Cafe will help you develop a more in-depth understanding of what effective collaboration between patient partners and health care partners looks like, and give you the tools and know-how to work together towards improving care.
