Quality Café – The Patient Voice as Co-Leader

Patient and health care partner collaboration results in improved patient safety, better health outcomes, reduced health care costs, and better care experiences for patients and care providers. But how do you ensure that the patient is an equal partner in this work?

Join us to learn from people involved with the Patient Voices Network, who will share the patient and health care partner perspectives. From Jason, a patient partner, and Patty, a health care partner, who will talk about their expectations for collaborating, and discuss the experiences and lessons they have learned working together on the Patient and Family Advisory Committee of the Tertiary Eating Disorders Program. (Stay tuned for other guest speakers!)

By the end of this session, you will develop an in-depth understanding of what collaboration between patients and health care partners looks like, and demonstrate how to work together to have a real impact on the health care system.
