Registration is now open for Quality Forum 2020! Our annual conference is an opportunity to learn new skills and strategies, discuss opportunities and challenges, and network with others interested in improving health care in British Columbia. Participants include physicians, nurses, pharmacists, allied health professionals, students and more. They work in quality improvement, academic, administrative, governance and senior executive roles. They are patients. We hope you’ll be one of them!
What’s in store at the Forum? Check out our downloadable matrix for a high-level overview of the sessions on the offer, and head to our online interactive program matrix to see descriptions, learning objectives and speakers for all sessions.
Here’s a preview of what you’ll get to choose when you register:
Our full-day pre-Forum sessions on Tuesday, February 25 are optional add-ons to your regular Quality Forum registration. There are three options to choose from: two deep dive sessions taking place at the conference venue (the Hyatt Regency Vancouver), including our annual session in partnership with the Joint Collaborative Committees, and one off-site field trip to the Lu’ma Medical Centre.
Health Talks is an optional event taking place at the Hyatt on Tuesday evening. It’ll include a ceremony to recognize our 2020 Quality Award winners, followed by eight speakers who will answer the question “What are your hopes for health care?” using the PechaKucha 20×20 presentation format, where each presentation contains 20 photos displayed for 20 seconds each. Our Health Talks speakers so far include Cicely Belle Blain, Gwen Phillips, Allison Kooijman and Robert Robson!
There are seven breakout time slots throughout the Forum’s main two days (February 26-27). For each slot you’ll be able to choose from a variety of workshops, field trips, one-hour sessions or rapid fire presentation sessions. Explore our online interactive program matrix for details on all the options available! All participants will also get to attend our three plenary presentations and a debate about a hot topic in health care quality.
