Cassy Mitchell

Cassy joined the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council in October 2018 as an Engagement Leader, with the experience of being both a patient and a health care provider. She originally became involved with Patient Voices Network (PVN) as a patient partner, and was part of PVN’s Oversight & Advisory Council for over a year. She has a master’s degree in health and a diploma in gerontology. When she emigrated to Canada from the UK in 2008, she worked for Northern Health as a nurse and supported public health information systems, before moving to a role coordinating home care services with the Haisla Nation.

Layton Engwer

Layton has been a patient partner for a little over 3 years in primary care, and brings to the role a health care career and a family’s worth of experience as a consumer of health care. He sits on way too many committees (his words) ranging from local workflow/strategy development to the  provincial advisory committee on team based care. He is the chair of the patient sponsored  Primary Care Patient Voices  group made up of patient partners from across the province to support its membership and to provide a broad base for commentary on provincial/regional policy or strategy.

This webinar will be recorded and uploaded the team-based care resource page, along with other key materials shared from the session.
