Unleashing Creative Action

Ever notice that the best ideas often come from unexpected sources? And that when you feel included and engaged, you do a better job? Do you think teams in which people work well together produce much better results? Do you want to work at the top of your intelligence in a group of people and give the same opportunity to others? If you answered yes, we have found that the use of Liberating Structures can help to make it happen.

Multiple iterations of this Unleashing Creative Action applied learning workshop have been offered for those who are working towards making health system improvements and want to understand how to further improve inter professional working relationships.  Highlights include:

  • Jump start health system transformation project by practicing deep respect for people and local solutions.
  • Solve a seemingly impossible problem in a new way which helps you solve other problems.
  • Learn practical methods to stimulate creative solutions amongst providers, administrators and those involved in supporting health system transformation.
  • Discover and spread approaches that help you quickly solve problems together.
  • Make progress on your own “intractable or chronic” challenges by refocusing attention on human-centered needs.
  • Make space for innovation by engaging in creative destruction (stopping the activities that keep you from pursuing your purpose).
  • Link innovation to institutional change and policy-making initiatives.
