Accessibility

We strive to ensure that the Quality Forum is inclusive and accessible for everyone who attends. In addition to the steps being taken below, we encourage participants to inform us about any other accessibility requirements they may have during registration for the event so that we can make any necessary accommodations.

Venue

Quality Forum 2022 is being held in person at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, which is located at 655 Burrard Street, Vancouver, BC, V6C 2R7.

The main entrance to the hotel off Burrard Street is accessible from street level by a ramp. The doors are five feet wide and have an automatic door opener. The event takes places on the floors two, three, four and 34. Floors two and three can be accessed by stairs, escalator and elevator. Floors four and 34 can be accessed by stairs and elevator. There are universal (open to all genders) and wheelchair accessible washrooms available throughout the hotel.

Travel & Parking

The hotel is accessible by bus numbers #10, #19, #210, #22, #44, #7, R5 and the SkyTrain (Canada Line and Expo Line).

There are accessible parking spots available in the parkade that is attached to the Hyatt. The entrance to this parkade is located outside the Hyatt’s main entrance. Parking rates for hotel guests and visitors is available here.

Designated Seating & Space

Each room will have designated seating and space reserved in the front row, around the perimeter and/or on the end of aisles for those that require it.

American Sign Language (ASL) Interpretation

ASL interpreters will be present at Health Talks on May 31, as well as the plenary presentations and debate taking place during the main Forum programming on June 1 & 2. ASL interpretation will also be included with the livestreaming of this content on BCPSQC.ca.

Virtual Access

There will be many ways to participate virtually and join the online conversation for those unable to attend in person. We have expanded our broadcasting efforts this year to include all plenary presentations, Health Talks and two rapid fire sessions during each breakout of the main Forum programming. This content will be livestreamed for free on BCPSQC.ca. Electronic presentation files, including storyboards, will be made available after the event. Individuals can also follow and use the hashtag #QF22 to join the conversation on social media.
