Chris Carnovale
Instructor, Tourism & Outdoor Recreation Programs, Capilano University

Professor by day, bartender by night, Chris Carnovale is a Northern Ontario-born adventure seeker who has made a home in North Vancouver. Chris shares his passions for travel, adventure and community as an educator in Capilano University’s tourism programs; he has done so for nearly a decade.

Chris is also a proud new father. Family time with his partner, Kaya, and daughter, Harlee, is spent singing along to their favourite records, foraging in the forest, or enjoying a local patio for happy hour. The new little addition has been a constant source of entertainment, learnings and laughter.

Just over a year ago, Chris was diagnosed with stage 4 incurable cancer.
