We asked Dena Kanigan to tell us about her hopes for health care. On February 24, 2016, Dena talked to us about her experience as a nurse in a long-term care facility, and about the joy and dignity she works to bring to those at end of life.

Dena is a registered nurse who specializes in geriatrics and palliative care. She has spent the past eight years working at Castleview Care Center, a 45-bed long-term care home in Castlegar, BC. Her passion lies in providing quality of life for residents and their families, and helping them have dignified, peaceful deaths.
