Major General (Ret’d) Lise Mathieu is the Former Commander of the Canadian Forces Health System. Lise was one of eight speakers — representing both health care and the public — to use the exciting Pecha Kucha presentation format to answer our question: What are your hopes for health care?

Lise is a fluently bilingual Certified Executive Coach whose professional life spans 35 years of leadership experience at all organizational levels — Commander of the Canadian Forces Health System, Executive Coach to numerous leaders in various industries, facilitator and coach at the governance level in health care organizations, coach/consultant in strategic leadership and planning, and teaching at the graduate studies level.

Lise brings creativity and determination to the issues and challenges facing her clients. She has the ability to be frank without being judgmental, and to give guidance without undermining accountability. She believes in people — this is why she coaches.

Health Talks was emceed by Gavin Stuart, Dean, Faculty of Medicine and Vice Provost, Health, at the University of British Columbia.
