Moving the Dial in Patient Safety: The Path from Risk Management and Quality Improvement to Safety II, Resilience and Restorative Practices in Health Care | August 2020
This webinar will explore new frontiers in safety science that may reduce harm to patients, families, communities and healthcare providers after serious adverse events. You can make this a truly dynamic learning experience by coming prepared with questions, doubts, and stories, and are ready to have your microphone un-muted to participate in a lively dialogue.
By participating in this webinar, you will be able to:
- Discuss the shifting paradigms for learning about patient safety in the 21st century
- Identify situations that may harm patients, families and other partners in the course of receiving care
Presenter
Rob Robson has worked in a variety of settings from community clinics to diagnostic and treatment centres and hospitals ranging in size from 10 to 1,500 beds. He remains active in health care conflict engagement and mediation and has a passion for patient safety and true patient engagement in health care initiatives. Aside from ongoing clinical practice (restricted by COVID-19 to telemedicine primary care), he actively explores the intersection of safety, resilience and complexity in health care. Rob was a Health Talks speaker during Quality Forum 2020.
