Richmond Hospital’s Releasing Time to Care Story

Three medical units at Richmond Hospital began piloting Releasing Time To Care (RT2C) over two years ago. RT2C is an internationally-renowned program that empowers frontline nurses to come together to analyze their work environment and brainstorm ways to improve the quality of care for their patients.

Teams at the hospital have seen improvements in patient safety and reliability of care, patient experience, staff well-being, and efficiency of care, and the initiative won a 2014 Quality Award for its work. We learned how these units embraced RT2C and the benefits, challenges and hopes it has brought at this Quality Café webinar, delivered on June 215, 2014, by:
