Reduction in Turn-Around Time for In-lab STAT Coagulation Tests for Women’s Hospital Peri-partum Women

Project summary:
With the realization that TAT for STAT INR and Fibrinogen level was too long to effect appropriate transfusion management, we stablished a QI project to reduce TAT of STAT PT/aPTT/QFib tests from Women’s hospital operating room and delivery suites to ≤25minutes (Median) and ≤30 minutes (90th %ile) (Collection to Result).
