Project description:

Patient deterioration in waiting rooms has been in the news of late, as there have been patients who suffered severe adverse events at other hospitals. In an effort to prevent things like this from occuring at Richmond Hospital, this project seeks to improve the triage nurses reassessment of already-triaged patients with minimal impact on their ability to triage new patients. The project measured patient deterioration being caught and missed in the waiting room, and tested reassessment timing to catch the most deterioration while impacting new triages the least.
